Fibby got her shots today :(

Well, today Fibby got her shots after I rescheduled her appointment for the third time because I have the memory of a goldfish. She loves car rides but I think she has been to the vet enough times to recognize it because as soon as she realized where we were she had a melodratic kitty breakdown. At least she didn't poop on me again though.  I sang buy u a drank to her on the way to calm her nerves.

I'm pretty tone deaf, so don't make fun of me.

Fibby really does love my singing. It's pretty cute. Sometimes she will be super duper hyper, or scared (if my sister's here) and I'll start singing, and she'll come sit in my lap and start purring. It makes me d'awww.  So at the vet today, she kept hiding behind me on the bench in the room like the vet was gonna come in and be like "Oh gee, Fibby's not here, guess I'll just stick this thermometer up your bum instead, Amanda". After her anus was violated, she went and got her booster shots. It was sad, but I didn't have to watch it. Also, we found out she gained a whole pound. What a fat lard, right? She was a bit less chill on the ride home since she was peeved with me. Every now and again, she'll try to get on the floor by my gas and brake pedals and it scares the poop out of me! I couldn't imagine having to decide between crashing or killing my precious Fibby-kins by braking. Maybe I should get a kitty carrier for the car rides.. but it isn't very difficult to keep her away from the floor, so I'll probably just stick to letting her chill in my lap, or on my shoulder when she feels like being parrot-cat.
This is for you, Haley. (my number one blog follower)

After the vet, Fibby got her catnap on and I did all my dern laundry and washed all the pine tree jizz off of my car. I hate Spring-time with a passion. Pollen, fog, pastels... it's all stupid and I hate it. Florida has been very awesome lately though and it is normally only foggy in the morning-time, then it is sunshiney beach weather. I managed to not burn the last time that I went.

My new yellow shades are suhweeeet!

Fibby's maw-maw, whom she loooooves, wanted me to tell you guys about her favorite toy. This is her blue foam soccer-ball. I don't know why it is her favorite, but it is. My dog, Brodi, always steals it and stashes it in the backyard because he is jealous of her. But I love him too. See look, here's a picture of him.

I love you too, little man.

But yeah, the blue ball is the glory of all foam balls in her eyes, which is weird 'cause yellow is my favorite color so of course it's hers too.Another reason why I think this is weird is because I was under the impression that cats are colorblind. After a quick (and for that reason perhaps not 100% accurate) google search, though,  I've discovered that they can actually see shades of blue and purple.. so maybe that's why she likes the blue ones. Anywho, I bought her some more foam balls today at PetSmart, so she would not be without one if some of them got lost in Brodi's fits of revenge and she is not diggin' them. They are the same exact thing. There is even a blue one, but this does not please Fibby. So I guess I'll just scatter them about the house until she accepts them.

Oh yeah, the funnies are a runner-up.

It's sleepy time. I am pooped from worky work. Fibby and I love you, meow meow meow and all that jazz.

I cut my hairs!

Well, I know it's not breaking news or anything, but I got my hurr' did.  So I thought I'd show you guys cause maybe it's interesting or something?

 I got me some bangs!

Yep, I think I rock it. I got some bangage and lightened it too :D Fibby likes it! I think she was more interested in venturing outdoors with me when I was taking pictures of it in the sunlight though.

we have the cutest weeds in our yard.

and they match my nails ;D

So you remember how I told you that my face got super burnt last time I went to the beach? Well, I put some lotion on it and it had a horrible reaction and looked like a carpet burn on my forehead. It was real cool. My new bangs should help me avoid that this summer which seems to be coming pretty early here in the sunshine state.. and I'm happy as a clam about that! I wish I could take Fibby to the beach but she'd probably just run away and pop a squat on someone. That would be super. I'd really enjoy that. Anywho, we're not really doing much now. I'm about to go work out my huge muscles and make Arnold Schwarzenegger jealous. Should be fun! Bye bye!

Deathmetal for kitties?

One of Fibby's favorite hobbies is to watch kitty videos on youtube. Well, we stumbledupon this kitty music video today and it is her FAVORITE video/kitty jam EVAR (By the way, if you don't know what StumbleUpon is... it is da' bomb and you should visit their website). She won't even detach herself from my laptop as I'm writing this because she wants to watch it MOAR. She might even like this more than my singing... and she totally digs that. The first couple seconds of the video stink and then it turns into some sort of creepy, satanic kitten electronica deathmetal.. which, obviously, is awesome.

She was hitting the screen, which I take as kitty moshing.
On a completely unrelated note, check out Haley and I doing cartwheels at the beach yesterday!
Neither of us can actually do a cartwheel.

And our faces are really sunburnt now!

Okelly dokelly, cool cats, it's time for me to go to work so I can bring home the bacon to my dear Fibby. Smell you later!

Groovy! Now, off to work I go.

Meow Meow Meow!

Meow meow meow meow meow!

Fibby and I are welcoming you to our new blog, which we are so excited about that we might just piss outside the litterbox. I loved this kitty from the moment she laid her evil death stare upon my soul. I rescued her from an old burnt down house, where she was hiding from me underneath a shed for an hour. So I knelt down, looked into those big green eyes, and sang to her, "Baby girl, what's yo name? Lemme talk to ya, buy you a drank. I'm T-Pain, you know me. What's the chances of you rollin' with me?" (which I now know is not the correct lyrics). But anywho, to that her silent gaze implied, "100%, homie!." And that was that. I don't know why I sang that to her, but I did and I still do. So I took her home with me and we were not in the bed like ooh, ooh, ooh (you sick, sick people) but rather it was more along the lines of "Holy crap I want to play! Oh shoot nevermind, I meant I want to pee right here, right now!". That was the first, and only trip to the dry-cleaners for my beloved down comforter because she is a smart cookie and learned to do her business elsewhere.. which moved to a not-so secret spot behind a chair for a bit.

a couple days after Fibby became my roomie

Fibby sounds kind of like a knock-off of the name Phoebe. But in reality, there is some meaning behind it. You see, before her genitalia grew recognizable, I had decided to name her (it, at the time) Ratchet after my favorite video game.. Ratchet & Clank. R&C is the bee's knees, okay, I don't care what anyone says. Well, after I decided to become her mommy, a trip to wal-mart was essential. I stuffed her in my coat and strutted on in with my possey, no biggie. It took about half a minute for an employee to ask if there was a kitten in my coat. I put on my most realistic offended face and said "No, this is my defibrillator". She was all taken aback and let me go on.. obviously she did not know what a defibrillator was or notice Fibby's tail hanging out... or maybe she was just amused, I don't really know. I decided that Fibby was an appropriate rendition of defibrillator though, and it stuck.

This is definitely NOT a cat.

Ratchet is still her middle name in honor of the greatest lombax ever.

Not too long after Fibby became a part of my life did she get sick. :(  There was something wrong with her upper respiratory system. She went to a bajillion vet appointments where she got prescribed all kinds of medicines that she was not a big fan of. I have battle wounds from trying to give her that stuff... and they made it taste like bubble-gum like oh gee I bet cats will love this stuff cause they totally chew bubble-gum... She also had to do steam therapy (sit in the bathroom while I shower). Eventually the bubble-gum drug, nose drops, steam therapy, and all that junk worked though and she was all betta'! Praise jeebus. She now sits in the bathroom every time I shower. Then again, she sits in my half-bath too when I'm in there.. not showering. I think she just has a bathroom fetish.

One of her many visits to the vet, being poked by Aunt HayHay.
Okie dokie artichokies, that pretty much sums up the major events of my life for the past two months (except for the traumatizing dawn soap baths to rid her of her fleas).

This didn't traumatize her nearly as much as the blowdryer, I will never even attempt that again.
Oh no wait, I'm leaving out the time she pooped in my lap in the car.
My dog did this to me when he was a baby too, I guess it's some sort of twisted family tradition.
Fibby is about four months old now. I pretend that her birthday is on October 23rd based on her weight the first time I took her to the vet. She's stinkin' cute and I love her. Not all posts will be entirely about her because the blog is about my life after Fibby joined it AND about her life after she was taken in by the best mommy ever, but a lot of them probably will be about her anyway because I spend way too much time with my kittay!

Fibby says thanks for reading and MOAR KITTAY VIDEOS NOW!
